Travel + Leisure Readers’ 5 Favorite Resorts in Texas of 2024
Published:
The Winner: Omni PGA Frisco Resort: Frisco, Texas
They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes the growing number of resorts popping up around the state in recent years. Omni PGA Frisco Resort, which opened in May 2023, quickly stole the hearts of readers and claimed the No. 1 spot on this year’s list. Just steps away from the PGA of America Headquarters, the resort was made for golf fanatics, featuring two, 18-hole championship courses, a 10-hole short course, and a two-acre putting course. There’s also a Topgolf and bar for those who want to practice their swing with a drink in hand.
One reader described the property as a “definite must see for golfers,” but non-golfers will find plenty to do off the course, too. Options include eating your way through the 13 on-site dining destinations, indulging in a rejuvenating treatment at Mokara Spa, or gawking at the lush fairways from your suite’s outdoor balcony — ranch water in hand, of course. Voters also revered the property’s four swimming pools, comfortable beds, impeccable service, and attention to detail.
