Price Atkinson joined the BWD team as Communications Director in May 2024. He comes to BWD after spending the last 12 years working on a nationwide climate change grassroots nonprofit led by former Congressman Bob Inglis based out of George Mason University. He previously worked in the journalism field with stints at The Greenville News and on local sports talk radio along with six years as a communications director on Capitol Hill and four years in the sports information department at the U.S. Naval Academy. He serves as the Executive Director of the annual Jennifer L. Smith Swimming Scholarship and is founder/president of the Upstate SC UK Alumni Club. A former swimmer and graduate of the University of Kentucky, he resides in Powdersville with his wife and two kids.
